Probably the most famous speech of the 20th century by Martin Luther King on Wednesday, August 28, 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. I present to you a heartfelt speech which reminds us the fundamental rights and values of man in full version !

"I Have A Dream" is the popular name given to the public speech by Martin Luther King, Jr., when he spoke of his desire for a future where blacks and whites, among others, would coexist harmoniously as equals.

King's delivery of the speech on August 28, 1963, from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, was a defining moment of the American Civil Rights Movement.

Delivered to over 250,000 civil rights supporters, the speech is often considered to be one of the greatest and most notable speeches in history and was ranked the top American speech of the 20th century by a 1999 poll of scholars of public address

I watch this video from time to time and sometimes I scroll through the comments. I'm going to make a pledge to block and remove racist comments from this video. It's appalling to me that people will go out of their way to come here and make disgusting remarks. In the event you're feeling some sort of way about what you've just read or you disagree with my post, consider something for a moment...

What is the root intent of stirring hate amongst people? Advocating hate and creating discontent doesn't alter the root of your problem, lack of confidence, low self-esteem, or any other issue you're facing. Find it within yourself, to put an end to these types of behaviors and be a better person. Posting racist comments is a temporary relief for the pain that's really troubling you. Moreover, many of you promoting hate and racism don't even know why you're doing it. Stop being a follower. Stop being a prisoner of your past and create YOUR OWN DESTINY. Your upbringing or shared family belief makes you a puppet to an archaic way of thinking. Stop doing it for acceptance. Perhaps you're doing it because it's all you know. Question what you REALLY believe in. Be yourself. You're expending energy towards judging people you've never meant merely because of the color of their skin? There's more to life than focusing on our differences.

A kind heart and beautiful soul has NO COLOR. The next time you see a person in the street, supermarket, or in your travels, pay ZERO attention to their appearance. Too much of society is driven by appearance. Be kind and courteous to all human beings no matter what they look like. Sometimes, all it takes is a random act of kindness or peaceful gesture to someone you don't know to brighten their day and potentially change their life. Spend more time promoting peace and being kind to people. It's infectious and uplifting to the soul.

Each person has their own journey, struggles, and history. Consider this with every social interaction. Lastly, thank you to everyone that exemplifies positivity and kindness to ALL, irregardless of color, ethnicity, or race. You ARE making a difference in this world.

People like to believe that MLK would not approve of the Black Lives Matter Movement.

People like to justify racism by taking Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's speeches out of context.

People like that are the worst type of people. Just fyi, he was investigated by the FBI, and called terrorist and hated by many in his day, oh yeah, and he was murdered. So before you try to say how MLK would have felt about Black lives matter try educating yourself first, because you have to be a real idiotic person to believe that he would not have been on board with Black Lives Matter. Now don't get me wrong, do I agree with rioting?, no I don't but rioting does not in any way shape or form take away from the message that Black people are sick of being murdered at the hands of those who are here to protect and serve by minor crimes. In no way shape or form should someone end up dead for not signaling or selling cd's.

Oh and one last thing, Black Lives Matter. Stay mad, keep hating because at the end of the day...BLACK...LIVES...MATTER.

I am here listening to this today on MLK day because I realize sadly that we may be in a time loop and racism is still rampant. This was such a major day to bring all whites and blacks together as I look out at the sea of people and I just hope that we can remember this man's words and not let color get in the way of our morality towards one another.

Now America faces a new challenge of hating the "arab muslim terrorist", in which has brought a new level of racism into the picture. I truly hope that we do not repeat history once again as the war on the middle east continues, we continue to use our critical thinking and our hearts to understand what is just and righteous in our treatment of those we may see as foreign taught by Trump and others, in charge.

May we rise above our differences and find the unity.

All races have to struggle. White people (nordic/germanic/etc) were savages to the Roman empire, and were enslaved when the Romans invaded northern europe. Native Americans of both continents (South America, Mexico, etc) were enslaved by the Portuguese and Spain, many millions more than ever existed in the US South. Sitting around complaining about having been enslaved is a very poor plan - Dr. King understood that, black lives matter does not.
