If you're having trouble signing in with your Google Account, try the following suggestions for the error message you see.
"Sorry, your password could not be verified."
Make sure you’re entering the correct password for your account.
Forgot your password? Start a guest browsing session, if available, and visit www.google.com/accounts/recovery to reset your password.
"Sorry, your email or password could not be verified."
Make sure you’re entering the correct username and password for your account. If you aren' using a Gmail address, make sure you enter your full email address as the username (e.g. somebody@example.com).
Forgot your username or password? Start a guest browsing session, if available, and visit www.google.com/accounts/recovery to reset your password or check that your username is valid.
You might be on a network that needs web-based authentication. Start a guest browsing session, if available, and see if a network log-in page appears. Once you're logged in to the network and are able to visit different web pages, exit the session and try signing in again.
"Sorry, you don’t have permission to sign in."
The Chromebook is set up to only allow specific people to sign in. If you want to sign in with your account, first ask the device owner to add you as a user. Or, you can start a guest browsing session, if available, to browse the web.
"Sorry, your password could not be verified. The manager of this supervised user may have changed the password recently. If so, the new password will be applied the next time you sign in. Try using your old password."
Check with your manager if the supervised user's password has been changed.
If the password for the supervised user has been changed recently, it will be applied the next time you sign in. Try using your old password.
